Tom Gelb, 72, of Conover, caught a 48-pound, 52-inch muskie while row trolling on a Vilas County lake Tuesday, Nov. 27.

That is a big fish for just about any angler. But for Gelb, it's the second monster muskie he landed in less than 12 months.

Last fall, Gelb netted a 51-pound, two-ounce muskie - once again in Vilas County while row trolling - using a blue and orange depth raider lure in deep, cold water on the last day of the season, Nov. 30.
