Chippewa Flowage Fishing report 10/23/11

Weather report

Temperatures around 50 with scattered light rain possible every day.

Water temperature

Getting chilly--it's in the mid 40's.

Water level

1311.1.  It's coming up a little because the dam is open up at Moose
Lake.

Walleye:

Sounds like the better walleye are being taken in 20-25 ft on big
minnows (walleye suckers).  They're not jumping in the boat but they're quality fish--16+.

Muskie:
Most of the action is on suckers--I've heard of a little Bulldawg action on the edges of the bars.  The better fishing should be deep pretty soon.

Crappie:

Mixed reports:  some Moore's Bay activity, some suspended, and some are still on the cribs.  Minnows are best.
