Jenks Fishing Report - Sunday, May 16, 2010
============================================================

Walleye:
Not a whole lot of walleye fisherman around this weekend.  Most people were fishing crappie and northern.  As near as I can tell, they're still in the deeper water primarily on minnows.  Although a few more leechs are going out the door.

Northern:
The northern fishing is pretty good.  As usual it's primarily on the
West side and it's better on 5-7 minnows around the weeds.

Crappie:
The crappie are coming back into the shallows.  Minnows, mini-mites and flu-flus have ben best.

Panfish:
People are seeing a lot of bluegills in the shallows but they don't seem interested right now.  Give them another week.

Awfully nice forecast.  Dry and in the 70's all week.

Water level

The lake has come up a couple of inches but it's still down almost two feet.

Water temperature

This weekend has brought the temps back up into the low 60's.  It should stay there with this week's forecast.

Northern Tournament

This week's northern tournament at Musky Tale saw over 1000 northerns caught. Yesterday a boat brought in a five fish stringer that weighed 45
#'s. WOW!!!
