Title: Idea for a CWD hunting season
Post by: Rancid Crabtree on October 10, 2010, 07:06:56 PM
Since we're always talking ideas for deer seasons, here is something that could be done in the CWDMZ.

A landowner only deer hunt:

That's right.

1. Run it from Jan. through March 31..

2. Landowners only

3. No EAB needed since all deer will be antlerless after antlers shed.

4. Unlimited either sex tags.

5. Antlerless deer taken will earn hunters EAB sticker for the following year.

6. No non-resident fees, all non-residents can hunt for $2 a deer.

7. you only need to own at least 5 acres of land.

8. unborn fawn fetus will not count towards EAB sticker.

Your thoughts on such an idea.

Ok, so by now your thinking, What the hell is Ole Crabtree smoking now? What a stupid idea ................ Right? Admit it, you wont hurt my feelings. Keep reading. This is no joke. This season is starting in January.

Yes, this is all part of that nifty, DNR 15 year CWD management plan approved by the NRB.

Hunters, when you gut out those late term does, watch out for those kicking twin fawns shes carrying.

Can anybody tell me of another animal in which we target late term pregnant females? The animal rights folks should get a lot of press out of this one.

I look forward to a new Governor, New DNR Sec. and 3 new members of the NRB. C'mon November 2nd.
