Ashland County Trails     Open     12/22/2008
The Ashland County Snowmobile Alliance reports that the Ashland County trails are groomed and in Good condition. Merry Christmas and Happy Riding!!
Thank you for choosing Ashland County this snowmobile season.
Bayfield County Trails    Open    12/23/2008
With snow depth between 10 & 20 inches, the groomers have been out on the trails. We have plenty of snow and most trails are in great shape. Trail #63 between Mason and Grand View, trail #1 into Herbster and trail #1 to Red Cliff are temporarily closed. Totogatic Trail #31 from Bearsdale Junction south to Sawyer County, and trail #63 from Drummond south to Lake Owen have not been groomed.

The 2007-08 snowmobile maps can be picked up at area businesses or by calling 800-472-6338 for a copy. One mile of Trail #25 north of Top O'the Morn and Shady Oaks to Iron River was inadvertently omitted on the map. The 2009-10 maps are in the works and should be done soon . . . keep checking!

Want more trail information or a local connection? Visit the Washburn Valhallers or Namakagon Trail Groomers web site.

Please remember that the Valhalla parking areas require a $5 daily fee or an annual parking pass. Daily passes can be purchased on site, and annual passes are available at district offices and area vendors. The 2008 forest passes are valid until March 31, 2009. Out of State Snowmobile Passes are also required on all snowmobiles not registered in Wisconsin and can be purchased for $35.00 at local chambers of commerce and sporting goods stores.
