Trail Conditions:

NOW OPEN.  All trails are groomed and reported to be in good to very good Condition. Temperatures are to run around 20 degrees for the rest of the week with more snow in the forecast.

Mercer trails are reported to be in good condition with a 5-8 inch base and all have been groomed except for Trail #12 to swamp creek.

Snowfall to date: 71 inches (More Snow in the forcast.)

SNOWMOBILE TRAIL PERMITS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE FOLLOWING BUSINESSES

Cary Mine Convenience, Citgo, Cloverland Snowmobile Rental, Copp's Grocery Store, Giovanoni True Value, Hurley Area Chamber of Commerce, Iron Horse Saloon, Jerry's Amoco, Midland Services, Northpole Tavern, Northwood's Rental, Town & Country Liquor

Upcoming Events:

January 3-4th - 6th Annual Stormy Kromer Pursuit.  Ski in Montreal on Saturday in the classic 10 km race.  Sunday head to Mercer for the 15 km freestyle event.  Early Registration deadline is Dec. 19th.  Register at ironcountywi.com

Cross Country Skiiing Conditions

Montreal Cross Country Ski Trails are being groomed and reported to be in very good condition.

Uller Cross Country Ski Trails will open sometime in January

MECCA Cross Country Ski Trails are open 100% open reporting good groomed conditions.  There is 6-8  inch base.  Join the fun in the Beautiful Northwoods.

ABR Cross Country Ski Trails are open reporting they are grooming daily and excellent conditions all week.  They groomed and reset the classic tracks this morning.  All 60 KM are open

Alpine Downhill Skiing Conditions

Whitecap Mountains has 500 Acres sprawing over whitecap with packed powder surface.  They will have 3 double chairs, 1 quad chair and 22 trails open with a 12-16 inch base.  The bunny hill, rope tow and polar bear bowl with magic carpet lift will be open for the little ones.

Indianhead Mountains has 100 percent of acreage open,  with 7 lifts and 21 trails with a snow base of 12 - 40  inches with a machined groomed power tilled surface.
