Happy 2007- 2008 Snowmobile season
Dec 15, 2008 Yipee!!!!!!! Snow is here, weather is cold and the trails are OPEN. Vilas CTY official notice on trail opening. Land O Lakes, FROSTY CLUB TRAILS are open now and have been groomed. Conditions are good, for early season riding, but not all ruts & bumps are filled in with snow yet, so caution is advised. Most lakes have slush on them from recent hard freezing, which causes cracks that allow water to rise above the ice under the snow, creating slush. Caution is advised when crossing any lake and one should check on conditions at each lake with people on that lake as every lake is different. Happy and safe riding.
