Hunting:
We have several fields that offer a wide selection of habitats to choose from. They consist of smaller fields that work well the less experienced dog or puppy and larger fields that will provide an enjoyable hunt for the advanced hunter seeking a challenge. We also have a few designated training areas with very controlled surroundings to help facilitate the learning of a young bird dog.
Hunting guidelines:
No license required.
No membership required.
Season runs from September to February.
All hunts are available by reservation only.
Morning hunts are scheduled between 8:00-12:00.
Afternoon hunts are scheduled between 1:00 and dusk.
Blaze orange is required.
No alcohol before or during the hunt.
- No shooting towards buildings or within 50 feet of any public roadway.
- No shooting around bird pens.
- Dogs leashed at all times around clubhouse.
Guide service:
We offer guide service for those outdoors people who do not own a bird dog. We have guides available with top notch hunting dogs that cover most hunting breeds. If you would desire a specific breed of dog to hunt with please call with as much advance notice as possible so we can schedule a hunt with that particular breed.
Training:
We believe that a quality hunt starts with quality dog work in a realistic hunting environment. If you have a bird dog or are considering making an addition to your family, contact us for training assistance so you to can enjoy the experience of a quality hunt. We do limited training with customer dogs but are always willing to answer questions for those involved in training their own dogs. We also have a few professional trainers that utilize our facilities on an ongoing basis and we would be happy to help you make a training connection if we are unable to meet your immediate training needs.
Rock Ridge will be scheduling training days throughout the season so if you are interested in taking part in one of these training days please contact us so we can add your name to our interest list.
