Condition Report & Updates
The Iron Snowshoe trails are open!
Tuesday December 23rd, 2008
Greetings Friends!
Things are really looking up since my last report. We had about 3-4" Saturday night, and there is another 2" fresh this morning. We are about halfway through the storm, so I expect today's totals to double.
We had a thin but rideable base when I rode Friday, and the 5-6 since then will help things a lot. Keep in mind that most years we don't get to ride until after the holidays, so we are doing pretty well on our early season conditions. There is an additional 1-3 or 2-4 possible late tomorrow too.
Keep in mind that several storms have brought more snow to the southern parts of our trail system, and that I update from the north end. There will be a couple of extra inches south and west.
Note that I have the Iron Snowshoe event calendar updated, and yesterday I compiled an area wide version now posted here.
