World record Whitetail? could be!

Eau Claire: Bob Decker of Eau Claire Wisconsin, may have harvested a world record Whitetail while hunting in west central Wisconsin Buffalo County.

The buck that Bob harvested is believed to be the Whitetail that was featured in an article in Field Stream magazine 2 ½ months ago. The buck was captured on video and was noted by most observers to be a possible world record.

Many hunters and experts that have seen the deer think that the deer will score between 220 and 240 inches, well above the current record typical buck of 214 inches.

Once the antlers dry, a team of experts will measure the buck to determine if it qualifies the buck for a world record. One certified scorer has stated that it appears as if the deer did not set a world record, but it is likely to be destined for at least three other record books. Time will tell if it sets the world record. Even if this deer does not set a world record, this is a very great deer.

In any event the harvest of this deer puts Wisconsin back in limelight for potential record Whitetails. For years now Buffalo County in central Wisconsin has been producing very large Whitetails.

We will have to wait at least 60 days for the required drying time to determine if it is indeed a new World Record.

With its stunningly large 16-point rack, it could challenge Milo Hansen's 1993 world-record buck.

When you talk Wisconsin you can't beat Buffalo County for big bones. I have an outfitters with two spaces still open that guides in Buffalo county. With seeing this I am goint to take one of the spots myself, does any one want the other one?
