For Bob Uecker

FYI

A little information first; I work for a transportation company in Eau Claire Wi. AbbyVans. We transport special needs individuals to various locations in the area.
I am a retired IT specialist; I work for Abby as a hobby…

When I can I will have the Brewer game on if it is a day game. On this day I was taking Mary Ann xxxxx home from her dialysis treatment. We were disusing the Brewers and what kind of season they were having and Hank Aarons name came up. Well that tweaked my interest for sure. Mary Ann related to me that she worked for a Bakery when she was a young girl and that she had met Hank while working there. She said he was a very nice guy also very shy. His favorite was a bun covered with molasses. The boys used to stop by the bakery after games played at Carson Park, they played for the Eau Claire Bears. She also mentioned that there was another boy that seemed to stand out in crowd; he was quite a cut up as she put it. This particular boy used to entertain the girls every time they came into the bakery. She said his name was Bob Uecker; some things never change.

I hope this brings back some good memories
