The Wisconsin State Shoot & AIM State shoot Results
« on: July 20, 2009, 08:30:53 AM »
The Wisconsin State Singles Championships along with the ATA's state "AIM" shoot were held this past Saturday at the Waukesha Gun Club.

The Burlington High Schools Trap Shooting Team took 1st place in the Junior division (Jon Ebbers, Jake Otter, Brian Sommers, Ethan Kerr and Adam Tuinstra) and 2nd place in the sub-junior division (Billy Ebbers, Jordan Hintz, Alex Peterson, Gunnar Knight and Gregg Clark).

AND......If I may note, I do not think this has ever happened before in the history of the Wisconsin State shoot.....We have a very unique situation!!!!

The Burlington High School Demons Trap Shooting Team along with the Burlington Conservation Club.....are the homes of the 2009 Wisconsin State Junior Champion (Jon Ebbers, for the 2nd straight year!!) & the 2009 Wisconsin State Sub-Junior Champion (Jordan Hintz) !!!!

Not only is this an amazing feat in itself, but to have them both from
the same team is absolutely incredible!!!!

Ebbers won his title after tieing with Reed Slabby from Weston
Wisconsin with a score of 198/200.....they both were in a shoot off
with Ebbers breaking a perfect score of 25/25 while Slabby shot a 24/25.

Hintz won his category outright with a score of 196/200!!

Hintz along with Ebbers, will be competing in the Champion of Champions shoot held in August at the Grand Nationals.

These shooters along with 28 of their teammates will be representing
Wisconsin at the SCTP National Trap Shooting Championships this up
coming weekend at Sparta Ill.

The Wisconsin flag (which was flown over the capitol building this past week) will be handed over to the team and its head coach Tom Wondrash Tuesday night @ 6:00 pm, by State Representative Samantha Kerkman, to bring down to the big event this upcoming weekend!

"I am absolutely amazed at how well these athletes and their team
performed this past weekend, what a great thing for them and the
program here in Burlington!"

Sincerely,

Tom Wondrash
